20 South Battery is a mansion built in 1843 that was recently converted into an eleven room boutique hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend visiting and staying there next time you visit Charleston!

Where to Stay:

• Perry Lane Hotel is the beautiful hotel I stayed at. The hotel came highly recommend, and for good reason. It has a lovely rooftop pool & bar as well!
• Montage Palmetto Bluff is located in South Carolina and is 24 miles from Savannah. The hotel is absolutely stunning and I’m dying to stay there! I stopped in to view the property and had the most delicious charcuterie board. After leaving I found out that Justin and Hailey Bieber were there at the same time!

Where to Eat:

Breakfast/Brunch –

• Two Cracked Eggs Cafe – we only had one breakfast in Savannah one morning, and I’m so glad we ate here. The chicken & waffles were so good and I’m still craving them!!
• The Collins Quarter – this one came highly recommended. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try it, but next time for sure!

Lunch –

• Soho South Cafe – a highly recommended spot that we didn’t get to try but I am dying to try it next time I visit!
• Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room – we walked past this one and it had the longest line! This spot has amazing reviews, but definitely expect to wait. Many reviews said they waited about an hour but that it was worth it!

Dinner –

• The Olde Pink House – so good! When planning our trip this one highly stood out and is one of Savannah’s most well-known spots. I do recommend making a reservation since it is so popular! After leaving one of my followers messaged me that they do live music in the basement – so next time I will definitely go check that out!!
• The Public Kitchen and Bar – a trendy spot that was also highly recommended. Definitely will be trying this one next time!

Drinks & Dessert –

• Leopold’s – Referred to as “a Savannah tradition” Leopold’s is one of Savannah’s most famous spots is this ice cream shop! Be prepared for a long (but worth it) wait.
• Peregrin at Perry Lane Hotel – Perry Lane Hotel has a rooftop bar that is open to the public! They have a wonderful froze (complimentary if you are a hotel guest) and the spot offers a priceless view of Savannah.

What to Do:

• Ghost Tours – if you know me, you already know that I definitely did not do a ghost tour, however they are one of the things Savannah is known for. If you’re braver than me, you should definitely do one. The fact that our hotel was across the street from a cemetery was scary enough for me :).
• Forsyth Park – one thing we did was wander through the famous Forsyth Park! From there we explored the historic district and admired the gorgeous homes.
• Trolley Tour – These well-known tours in Savannah look like so much fun and I’m so sad I forgot to do this while there! Next time for sure.

What I Wore:

To say it was hot during our stay would be an understatement. I recommend packing lightweight clothes and if you’re visiting during the summer definitely pick up one of these handheld fans. I got one when I first moved to Charleston and bring it on all of my walks, photoshoots, etc. When I went to a music festival a few weeks ago I ordered them for all of my friends and they were a huge hit during the hot weekend.

1. Cookie Sundae at Kaminsky’s 

address: 78 N. Market Street

Kaminsky’s was the first dessert cafe I tried out in Charleston and quickly became obsessed with. It has a great atmosphere and amazing desserts! I highly recommend the cookie sundae, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Arrive early though – it gets packed on weekends & evenings!

2. Gelato Panini from Carmella’s

address: 1804 Meadowlawn Dr 

I’m a huge gelato fan & love the gelato panini from Carmella’s. They also have lots of pastries and other goodies that you must try!

3. The Ultimate Coconut Cake at the Peninsula Grill

address: 112 N Market St

I visited The Peninsula Grill on one of my first visits to Charleston after reading tons of reviews on the famous coconut cake. The cake takes 3 days to make & is worth the hype. Definitely make a reservation and stop in for dinner & dessert!

4. Mini Puff Pancakes from Belgian Gelato

address: 6 Vendue Range

I love getting gelato from Belgian Gelato when wandering around downtown. It’s located right by the waterfront park & the pineapple fountain! They recently started selling mini puff pancakes and they are so good.

5. Cupcakes from Sugar Bakeshop

address: 59 1/2 Cannon Street

I discovered Sugar Bakeshop after seeing lots of Instagram photos taken outside of the store. Not only does the storefront provide the perfect backdrop, but the cupcakes (& other sweets) are to die for!
